Back in 2011, Kings had the most feared partnership of skipper Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh. This Australian duo caught the RCB bowlers off-guard, scoring a total of 206* off 96 balls and making it hard to chase for the RCB.
It was when both the batsmen joined hands on 2nd wicket and then, there was no going back. Adam Gilchrist scored a century and a 6 off 55 balls and Marsh stayed unbeaten with 79 runs off 49 balls.
Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli (2nd wicket)- 204 runs in 110 balls
Delhi Capitals vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore, in 2012 – Delhi
In IPL 2012, while playing against Delhi Capitals, it wasn’t a good start for the RCB when the Delhi bowlers broke Chris and Dilshan’s partnership. But, 2nd came Virat Kohli, the highest scorer in the IPL history so far. Virat is being known for his great partnerships and high hitting abilities.

Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Gujrat Lions, in 2017 – Rajkot
In IPL 2017, Gujrat Lions scored a whopping 183 at the loss of 4 wickets. And then it was time for KKR, where the opening partnership by Gautam Gambhir and Chris Lynn helped the team chase target at the first wicket. Chriss Lynn scored his 93* runs at 41 balls whereas Gautam scored 76 off 48 balls.
